Immortality is the state of life in which the occult individual has been granted a seemingly indefinite lifespan as well as greater capabilities than mortals. Though it does not make the occult individual invincible, it makes them more durable to things that could render mortals in a lethal condition. Several mortals have achieved immortality, such as The Misanthropist, Frankie Sparks, Malaki O. Ion, and Xerxes X. Ion (he invented small nodes that were placed on his hearts during surgery to keep them active. he died regardless, but is considered immortal due to living beyond his lifespan's deadline).
